Chapter 1, Introduction; Chapter 2, The causes of emigration from the
Arab countries; Chapter 3, The pioneers; Chapter 4, The Merchants;
Chapter 5, The Social Life; Chapter 6, The Religions; Chapter 7, The
Traditions.  Chapter 8 consists of eighty sections with many sub-sections
in which we describe the Arab American families who were the pioneers
and some of their descendants.  In the back of the book we have
included a 25 page name-only index; a table of citations; a table of the
72 photographs which we have included in the book; and 29 pages of
census data and immigration data which we have gathered. The data
includes many persons not otherwise mentioned in the book.  The book
is an attractive 3 ring loose-leaf notebook.
