AAHC statement on the attack on the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh

Uncategorized   /

We at the Arab American Heritage Council would like to express our deepest sympathies to the Jewish communities across the nation, particularly the friends and family of victims in Pittsburgh after the tragic attack on worshippers at the Tree of Life synagogue.

We unequivocally condemn any and all acts of violence against all people regardless of race, religion, creed, gender, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. Furthermore, we denounce the racism, dehumanization, and xenophobia plaguing this country that makes such an attack possible.

We are firmly committed to the idea that the United States is a safe place for all to worship, assemble, and profess their faith without fear or threat of violence. An attack such as this is an attack on all of us and on that which we hold most dear as a nation and it must be universally condemned.

May we together build a more just, understanding, and loving world in which all people are appreciated and respected.

In Solidarity,

Arab American Heritage Council
